Fir tree Lodge is spotlessly clean, very friendly and the lovely breakfast sets you up for the day
Dislikes:
It would have been better if the heating was on earlier in the evening and on in the morning so the rooms were warm when we got up.

Very convenient for the event I was attending in the centre of Swindon. There is pub immediately across the road, The Rat Trap, that serves good pub food and a wide range of interesting beers.
Dislikes:
Not the fault of the hotel, but they had some very noisy 'guests' that disrupted my sleep until 4 am.

The room was a good size (it actually had two single beds). It was clean, and pleasantly appointed.
Dislikes:
My room was rather noisy, close to a rather busy road and next to the front door. I was woken up by people leaving the hotel at 5am, and by loud conversations in the hallway later, on both mornings.
